Marine Ecosystem Restoration - MER, il progetto PNRR per conoscere, proteggere e restaurare gli habitat marini

Abstract

Italian National Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA) is the implementing body of the PNNR (Italian NextGeneration EU) MER Project, which provides for the investment of 400 million euros for the period 2022 - 2026 for the implementation of interventions for the restoration and protection of the seabed and marine habitats, the strengthening of the national observation system of marine and coastal ecosystems, also through the acquisition of a new major naval oceanographic unit, and the mapping of the extension and state of coastal and marine habitats of conservation interest in Italian waters.
